We made green popcorn balls this afternoon. The children put the butter and the marshmallows in the pot to melt. We popped the popcorn in the hot air popper. We added green food coloring to the melted butter and marshmallows. We coated our hands with butter so that the marshmallow mixture wouldn't stick to them as we formed popcorn balls. And then we ate them. Delicious! This boy was willing to put butter on his hands and squeeze a ball of popcorn together for the first time by himself. We just weren't quick enough with the camera.
Reading the instructional book"On the Way to School" this morning. This one really caught her interest.

All the children - and adults!- seemed glad to have a structured schedule to follow today. We can all only take so much down time!
Next week on Thursday, March 10th, Creekside has the annual Ice Cream Social. I hope to see you there!
And don't forget to mark your calendars for Family Fun Night on Thursday, March 24th. Pizza and games for the whole family. I will be keeping Room 7 open for a quiet spot if you need one.
