Swimming Wednesday

5 4th grade buddies joined us for lunch in room 2 and for swimming today. Children were holding hands, walking , and playing together. Everyone swam and walked well. One of the 4th graders told me that he was so excited about coming with us today that he had trouble sleeping last night!

We are now singing the Days of the Week song at calendar. (Tune: Clementine) Students are equally excited about this song, as they were about the months.

Look for information to come home soon about a field trip to Castaway Cafe. We'll need some parents to come with us!

A Beautiful Fall Wednesday

No pictures today, but a quick update. We had 4th grade buddies eat lunch with us in room 2 before walking with us to the pool. They were good partners walking and swimming. I think that they were pretty happy, too, getting to go to the pool during the school day!

Tomorrow we will be cooking. We are trying a new recipe for Blender Applesauce. It's very tasty! Maybe I'll post the recipe tomorrow.

No school for students on Friday! I'll be here meeting with some of you for conferences. Tuesday night conferences went well - thank you for attending and giving positive feedback. Next Wednesday night I'll finish meeting with the rest of you for conferences. I enjoy having the time to sit down with each of you and talk about your student.

Reading Buddies

These 2 students are very attentive to songs this morning. They both made requests for a favorite song.

We made spaghetti on Thursday afternoon.

These two friends took a little break together this morning.

This student made a new choice this morning and had fun in the dollhouse toy area. He has other favorites that he usually chooses each day and it was great to see him make an independent new choice.

Going to the Pool in November

At the pool today there was a beach ball in the water, children going down the slide, children playing with one another, and laughter. When we returned, there were hungry students who finished lunches and asked for more!
